Sanemi Battles

Sanemi takes part in two of the major battles against the demons. One against the Upper Moon Rank One, Kokushibo. Kokushibo is said to be one of the highest-skilled demons in Demon Slayer.

Another battle that he faces is against the Demon King, Muzan himself. He joins in with other Hashiras to aid them in fighting and kill Muzan.

Sanemi vs Kokushibo

Genya is seen fighting with the Upper Moon Rank, Kokushibo, under a lot of pressure. Genya’s brother Sanemi saves him when he uses the Wind Breathing, Fourth Form: Rising Dust Storm, to block the Upper Rank’s attack.

Kokushibo moves away and sees that the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa, has arrived. Sanemi agrees with the Upper Rank that he is the Wind Hashira and that he will be the wind that rips off Hashira’s head.

Sanemi tells Genya that he shouldn’t have joined the Demon Slayer Corps. Instead, he says that he should have gotten married, had kids, and promised to protect them. This makes Genya cry as Sanemi tells him how he really feels about him.

As their swords clash, Kokushibo uses the Moon Breathing, Fifth Form: Moon Spirit Calamitous Eddy on Sanemi, making him back away from the attack. But Sanemi doesn’t understand why there are so many slashes even when the Upper Rank isn’t moving his blade.

Kokushibo’s attack is stopped by Sanemi’s Wind Breathing, Third Form: Clear Storm Wind Tree. Kokushibo praises Sanemi and his attack, saying they are at their best. Sanemi thinks to himself that Kokushibo’s overall skill and power give him goosebumps.

Along with the help of Gyomei, Sanemi is able to defeat Kokushibo.

When Kokushibo is finally defeated for good, Gyomei yells at Sanemi to stop attacking because Kokushibo can’t heal anymore. Sanemi, on the other hand, still runs in random directions and swings his Nichirin Sword.
