At that moment, Sumire comes to ask for a hug. Sumiyoshi asks him to pick her up, so he does. She laughs and squeals with joy, which makes him cry and hug her. Soon after, Suyako comforts him and cheers him by making him a meal and taking him out to eat.
Yoriichi Leaving Everyone
Yoriichi would be asked by Suyako to do the Sun Breathing forms when he was with the Kamados. He was kind enough to do so, and he made all the moves with such grace that people thought he was more of a spirit than a person.
Sumiyoshi would pay close attention to these shows and remember them. On his last visit, Yoriichi gave Sumiyoshi his Hanafuda earrings, even though he had been told he was welcome at any time.
Sumiyoshi and Suyako then knew that this was the last time he would come to see them. Sumiyoshi was so upset that he called out to Yoriichi as he walked away and told him to stop calling him a worthless man.
He reminded him that he had saved them and promised that his descendants would keep the Sun Breathing’s forms alive. When Yoriichi hears this, he turns around with a big smile, thanks the Kamados, and waves them off.
Yoriichi kept hunting demons on his own after being kicked out of the Corps, but he kept in touch with the Hashira he befriended with the Oyakata’s silent permission. In the meantime, the Corps itself fell apart. Muzan killed every other Sun Breather, and no one could teach Breathing Styles as well as Yoriichi.
