Who Killed Yoriichi/How Did Yoriichi Die?

The Final Fight Leading To Yoriichi’s Death
Now we will see the fight leading to Yoriichi’s death.
Yoriichi is Banished from the Demon Slayer Corps
Yoriichi is banished from the Demon Slayer Corps because of Michikatsu’s betrayal and him sparing Tamayo’s life. He was even accused of his lack of skills in killing Muzan when he encountered him.
After leaving the Demon Slayer Corps, Yoriichi decides to visit his two friends, Sumiyoshi and Suyako.
He meets Sumiyoshi, sits down with him, and tells him everything about himself, from how he was born to why he was kicked out of the Demon Slayers.
Yoriichi became sad when people brought up his past tragedies and talked about how he regretted letting Muzan live and how many people would die because of it.
At that moment, Sumire comes to ask for a hug. Sumiyoshi asks him to pick her up, so he does. She laughs and squeals with joy, which makes him cry and hug her. Soon after, Suyako comforts him and cheers him by making him a meal and taking him out to eat.
Yoriichi Leaving Everyone
Yoriichi would be asked by Suyako to do the Sun Breathing forms when he was with the Kamados. He was kind enough to do so, and he made all the moves with such grace that people thought he was more of a spirit than a person.
Sumiyoshi would pay close attention to these shows and remember them. On his last visit, Yoriichi gave Sumiyoshi his Hanafuda earrings, even though he had been told he was welcome at any time.
Sumiyoshi and Suyako then knew that this was the last time he would come to see them. Sumiyoshi was so upset that he called out to Yoriichi as he walked away and told him to stop calling him a worthless man.
He reminded him that he had saved them and promised that his descendants would keep the Sun Breathing’s forms alive. When Yoriichi hears this, he turns around with a big smile, thanks the Kamados, and waves them off.
Yoriichi kept hunting demons on his own after being kicked out of the Corps, but he kept in touch with the Hashira he befriended with the Oyakata’s silent permission. In the meantime, the Corps itself fell apart. Muzan killed every other Sun Breather, and no one could teach Breathing Styles as well as Yoriichi.
Yoriichi and Kokushibo’s last meeting.
Even though people with the Demon Slayer Mark were said to only live for 25 years, Yoriichi lived into his 80s but eventually went blind.
On the day he died, he would face Michikatsu, who was now called Kokushibo and was Muzan’s strongest lieutenant as Upper Rank One. He cried because he was so sad about what had happened to his brother.
Kokushibo could only show disgust that his younger brother was old but still alive, even though he had the mark. Yoriichi loved him, but he knew he had to kill him. He got ready to kill him.
Yoriichi’s last attack, which was meant for Kokushibo.
When Kokushibo saw that Yoriichi was still the same skilled and powerful warrior, he used to be afraid of him. He told his brother when he was going to attack, and then he attacked right away.
He cut through his brother’s neck before Kokushibo could even draw his sword.
Kokushibo was angry that he had been beaten again, so he waited for the next attack.
It didn’t happen, though; Yoriichi died without having Kokushibo see it.
Kokushibo was angry that he had lost his one chance at a fair fight and that the man who almost killed him and Muzan was now dead and would never lose again.
He was about to hit his brother’s dead body when he saw that Yoriichi was holding the flute he had given him when they were both young. Kokushibo couldn’t break his bond with Yoriichi, so he took the broken flute and carried it with him.
