Kokushibo is the Upper Moon Rank One among Twelve Kizuki. He is one of the strongest, most skilled and most ferocious demons in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba.

Michikatsu was angry that he couldn’t beat his brother, and he was afraid that those who awakened their Demon Slayer Marks would die. Muzan Kibutsuji convinced him to become a Demon, and he accepted the offer and took the name Kokushibo.

Since he used Breathing Style, it took him three days to completely change into a demon. Eventually, he became Upper Rank One of the Twelve Kizuki and stayed there for hundreds of years.

Kokushibo was often jealous of his brother. He was often annoyed by his brother’s optimistic approach. When trying to learn Sun Breathing Style, Kokushibo awakened his Demon Slayer Mark and developed Moon Breathing Style. Due to anger and the fear of dying, Kokushibo accepted to become a demon.

Kokushibo was often angry that he couldn’t beat his brother in a fight. He had so much anger inside of him after his family died that he couldn’t channel it anywhere and awakened his Demon Slayer Mark.

Why Did Kokushibo Kill Muichiro?

Kokushibo wanted Muichiro to become a Demon because fascinated by the skills Muichiro possessed at such a young age. He was also able to identify Muichiro as his own blood. But Muichiro declined the offer. Kokushibo being loyal to Muzan, had no choice but to kill Muichiro.

Muichiro, after all these years, told Kokushibo that he had zero ounces of Kokushibo’s blood and he should not call him his descendant.

Who Is Kokushibo’s Brother?

Kokushibo’s brother was Yoriichi, the strongest Demon Slayer who ever lived in the Demon Slayer Era. Kokushibo and Yoriichi were twins, but during the Sengoku era, twins were thought to be bad luck.

Kokushibo and Yoriichi had very different childhoods. Yoriichi was kept in a three-tatami room away from the rest of the house and was not allowed to see his brother. Kokushibo sneaked around behind their father’s back to see his brother.

He felt sorry for Yoriichi, who was thought to be deaf until he was seven and clung to his mother’s side whenever Kokushibo saw her. He gave Yoriichi a flute he had made as a gift at some point.

How Did Kokushibo Learn Moon Breathing?

Kokushibo, while trying to learn Sun Breathing Style, awakened his Demon Slayer Mark. He then developed his own breathing style – Moon Breathing. He trained with someone who could use wind breathing style and worked on his sword skills with them.

The Moon Breathing was primarily derived from the Sun Breathing Style.

Even though this was a good thing, it was still not as powerful as Yoriichi’s Sun Breathing, which made Kokusbhio angry and even more jealous.

When Muichiro first meets his ancestor in Infinity Castle, he is scared by how powerful the Demon is. Kokushibo feels like he knows Muichiro, and it turns out that Muichiro is his blood descendant. Muichiro is shocked when Kokushibo tells him that he is his descendant. He doesn’t believe him. Instead, he quickly calms down, which makes Kokushibo happy.

Later, Muichiro’s skills and abilities impress Kokushibo so much that he wants to turn him into a demon.

What Is Kokushibo Sword Made Of?

Kokushibo uses a Nichirin Sword that has been dramatically modified by him. As its look suggests, the weapon is made from his own flesh and blood. Because his body is so strong and hard, the blade is just as sharp as a regular Nichirin Sword, if not sharper. His sword is blood-red, and you can see his veins and eyes all over the blade and even on the handle.

What is Kokushibo’s Real Name?

Michikatsu Tsugikuni was Kokushibo’s name when he was born in the Sengoku era. Michikatsu was about seven years old when his brother watched him practise sword swings. The first time Yoriichi spoke was then, which surprised Michikatsu.

As Michikatsu looked at the sword, he was jealous of his brother, who he thought was wasting his natural talent for sports.

Who Fights Kokushibo in the Final Battle?

The final fight with Kokushibo is the most intense battle in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. It happens between Muichiro Tokito, Genya Shinazugawa, Sanemi Shinazugawa and Gyomei Himejima vs Kokushibo.

The fight goes on for a long time, and the aftereffects of the battle are not good for both sides. Muichiro, the Mist Hashira and Genya die in the battle along with Kokushibo.

Is Kokushibo Stronger Than Muzan?

No. In terms of sword skills and raw power, Kokushibo may be stronger than Muzan. But, Muzan was almost invincible with his multiple heads and hearts.

Even his blood demon art techniques were fathomable to the point of killing all the Hashiras in one go.

No, there is no relation between Kokushibo and Tanjiro. Even there are no blood relations between Yoriichi and Tanjiro.

Is Kokushibo Stronger Than Yoriichi?

No. It is shown multiple times that Kokushibo is always envious of his brother, is better than him. Even after becoming a demon, Kokushibo was not much stronger than Yoriichi. He was able to kill his brother only because of Yoriichi’s old age.

Is Kokushibo Still Alive?

In the Demon Slayer Anime, Kokushibo is yet to make an appearance. But, in the Manga, where the whole story is completed. Kokushibo dies in the Infinity Castle Arc.

Is Gyomie Stronger Than Kokushibo?
