Who Killed Tamayo?
Muzan, the Demon King, kills Tamayo during the Final Battle in Infinity Castle Arc. He kills her using Black Blood: Brambles. During the final battle, Muzan kills a lot of Demon Slayers and even a few Demons.
Attacking Muzan
After Muzan attacked the Ubuyashiki home, Tamayo showed up again. Soon after, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, his wife, and two of their daughters blew up Muzan and themselves.
As Muzan tries to heal from the injuries he got in the explosion, Tamayo uses her Flesh Seed attack, which sends large spikes that look like thorns into his body. Muzan realises that a Blood Demon Art has paralysed him and tries to absorb the spikes.
Using Anti-Demon Drug on Muzan
However, Tamayo rushes up to him and puts her fist through his stomach. Muzan doesn’t understand why she’s there, so he asks her what she’s doing. She tells him that her fist has a drug that can turn a Demon back into a human.
Muzan looks shocked as he says he doesn’t think that’s possible, but Tamayo just gives him a menacing smile and says it’s definitely true, even though she didn’t do it by herself.
Muzan says that Tamayo is a very stubborn woman and that she doesn’t have a right to hate him because she killed her family, not him. Tamayo, who is now crying, screams that she wouldn’t have become a Demon if she had known that was what would happen. All she wanted was to get better from her illness so she could watch her kids grow up.
Muzan Grabs Tamayo Easily
He puts his hand on Tamayo’s head and starts to crush her eye with his thumb to make the wounds worse. He then tells the Demon that she killed more people after killing her family because she was so sad, and Tamayo admits that she did.
She says that’s why she has to pay for her sins and why she and Muzan are going to die right there.
Trying to Kill Muzan
She then yells for Gyomei Himejima to attack her and Muzan with the intent to kill. Muzan’s head is completely cut off when the Stone Hashira swings his spiked flail at him.
However, the Demon King just grows a new head and refuses to die, so Gyomei decides to hold Muzan down until sunrise so the sun can destroy him.
Then, while still holding Tamayo’s head, Muzan lets out Black Blood: Brambles, which surprised Gyomei. Gyomei quickly defends himself with his third breathing style, and right on cue, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Giyu Tomioka, Muichiro Tokito, Tanjiro Kamado, Shinobu Kocho, Mitsuri Kanroji, and Obanai Iguro appear to join the fight.
After Akaza, Doma, and Kokushibo have been taken out, it turns out that Muzan has come back to life and changed into a new form.
Muzan Crushes Tamayo’s Head and Kills Her – Tamayo’s Death
Muzan holds up Tamayo’s head after quickly dealing with the Demon Slayer Squads that were sent after him. As he looks her in the eyes, he says that the drug didn’t work. Tamayo tells Muzan to go to hell, but he says he won’t because hundreds of other people have said the same thing.
In her last moments, Tamayo begs Muzan to return her family. He tells her to go back to the family she killed and then crushes her head.
Final Thoughts – Who Killed Tamayo?
The final battle in the Infinity Castle Arc is one of the best battles in Demon Slayer, and fans can’t hold their anticipation during it. Sadly, a lot of people sacrifice their lives to kill Muzan and his army of Twelve Kizuki.
